Phoenix's Premier Internet Gateway Facility
Being the leader in interconnection, Telx is the premier building Interconnection Center operator within 120 East Van Buren Street, Phoenix Arizona. 120 East Van Buren is the #1 carrier hotel in the Phoenix Metro-area which serves as the primary hub for Internet traffic in the greater Phoenix area. The building is a recognized fiber crossroad on almost every national network backbone, with multiple fiber entrances and vaults. Over three dozen carriers/providers currently serve the building.
Phoenix is an important top tier market and has become one of the fastest-growing markets for disaster recovery and corporate application hosting.
In June 2008, to meet the growing colocation and interconnections demands, Telx launched The Telx Internet Exchange (TIE), a Internet Peering Exchange in our Phoenix Arizona facility. Telx entered the Phoenix market to offer quality peering services that leverage the strength of our interconnection community. The Phoenix TIE is based on the Force 10 platform.
“The Telx Internet Exchange requires an uncompromising level of network reliability, scalability and manageability to meet the demanding requirements of its rapidly growing customer base. By leveraging the high performance architecture of Force10’s Ethernet switch, Telx can maintain its Phoenix exchange point as a strategic asset that its customers can rely on for their businesses.”
-Stephen Garrison, Vice President of Marketing at Force10 Networks.
The Phoenix TIE platforms are monitored 24x7 and are ready to accept Ethernet connections immediately. The Telx Internet Exchange (TIE) is also offered at our Atlanta facility. Telx customers in Atlanta and Phoenix now have the ability to purchase one-stop-shopping solutions that includes space, power and interconnectivity between networks as well as interconnectivity to the TIE platforms.
Telx acquired its facility at 120 East Van Buren Street in December 2006. Telx's colocation centers offer premier conditioned space, state-of-the-art access control and surveillance systems. Telx's Interconnection Center provide a managed, network-neutral, secure environment for core interconnection networking elements; whether you’re a carrier, ISP, content provider, financial services company or enterprise business.
